Kelli Borbón
Kelli Borbón has more than 23 years of legal experience, focusing her practice as a commercial litigator. She is also experienced as a litigator in consumer matters, products liability, toxic tort, and personal injury. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Western, Eastern, Southern, and Northern Districts of Texas. A native of Somerset, Texas, Ms. Borbón received her BA degree from the University of the Incarnate Word Magna Cum Laude, in 1993, where she was a scholarship player on the women’s basketball team, a presidential scholarship recipient, and the top-ranking political science graduate. Ms. Borbón received her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law in 1996, where she was an Articles Editor on the Texas Journal of Women & the Law. After law school, Ms. Borbón spent her first six years in private practice in Corpus Christi, Texas with the firm of Donnell Abernethy & Kieschnick (1996-2000) and the international law firm of Bracewell & Giuliani LLP (2000-2002), before moving to the San Antonio office of Bracewell & Giuliani in 2002, where she remained until she joined King & Sommer in 2014. Area of Practice and Expertise Ms. Borbón is a seasoned litigator with extensive experience in general commercial litigation matters, personal injury litigation, consumer matters, employment litigation, and toxic tort litigation, as well as representation of clients in arbitration and administrative proceedings. In addition to her general litigation practice, Ms. Borbón also advises clients in litigation avoidance, regulatory compliance, and general risk management strategies, policies, and procedures.
